Amazon seller scams

I have found that some items advertised as "free delivery"in fact incur an often excessive delivery charge which only appears upon checkout,e.g.£10 delivery for a discounted £4 item. Of course this type of scam is a well known means of sellers purporting to sell items at a significant discount but adding the real price (which often when the item price and delivery are aggregated far exceeds the full retail price) back in via. the supposed delivery charge.I report such items/sellers to Amazon via. its chat facility but you have to be cunning to bypass the bot and communicate with a real person.I stress that these are some Amazon sellers, not Amazon selling itself via.Prime.etc..

I try and avoid Amazon Marketplace it's a bit of a Wild West.
Apart from the postage scam you outline, sometimes the seller is not authorised by the manufacturer to sell that product hence any warranty is void.0 -
