Mi iPad is about 7 years old and needs charging constantly, I would like to ‘transfer’ photos etc to my wife’s iPad as I’m scared of losing them. Is this possible? Any advice greatly appreciated, thank you.

Set up your iCloud if you haven't done so already. The photos will sync to there.

Thank you, could you advise me on the procedures?0

Have you really not had any backups previously? Electronic equipment fails all the time, and there are these people who break into houses and steal iPads….No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?2

can you not airdrop to your wifes ipad.
select the photos you want to transfer, click airdrop and you should see her ipad and send

GDB2222, I don’t think so, I just switch it on, peruse, etc then switch it off. I’m not au fait with IT but judging by your comments I certainly should be. Thank you for your advice.0

When you first switched it on, after buying it, it should ask you for an Apple ID. If you fill that in, I think that it more or less defaults to backing up to that ID. Anyway, you may find that more was being backed up than you realised.omnipeta said:GDB2222, I don’t think so, I just switch it on, peruse, etc then switch it off. Do iPads regularly remind the user that backups are not setup (like iPhones do)?0

Mobileron, the point is I think mine is on the blink, hence why I need to transfer data to the other one.0
