  • Hi All,

thanks again for your invaluable help, the second page of the order states "each party must deliver to the other party and to the court office copies I all documents on which that party intends to rely at the hearing no later than fourteen days before the hearing". is it best to just ignore DCBLs request for a settlement ?

is it best to just ignore DCBLs request for a settlement ?
You can ignore it, or you can tell them where to stick it. If you're doing the latter, head up your email 'Without Prejudice, Save as to Costs', which means they cannot refer to your refusal to negotiate during any court hearing, until it comes to the judge's assessment of any costs to award.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As said many times, if DCBL thought they could win, they would not be offering a deal ?

This is just  feeble attempt of Poker.   Continue as if you never received their "special offer".   If they do continue to court and you lost, you will probably pay less than their "special offer"   Why would you lose ?  When you win, you can claim your costs
