Hi
Just after some ideas and advice on hand held card machines.
Looking for a low cost one for band use at a small venue.
Any help appreciated.

Might be worth asking on the Small biz MoneySaving board.1

Screwfix & Toolstation offer cheap mobile card readers.
No Idea of the associated costs though.

I use an izettle device, now probably called Zettle and owned by PayPal. It charges about 1.8 or 2% as I remember.greyteam1959 said:Screwfix & Toolstation offer cheap mobile card readers.

There's also SumUp and others I think - probably similar costs?1 -
I have sum up, and its pennies per transaction2

SumUp I think is 1.95% per transaction.greyteam1959 said:Screwfix & Toolstation offer cheap mobile card readers.

Another vote for SumUp - works brilliantly, good choice of machines depending on your needs and for me I use it so infrequently so the no monthly fees or payments if you're not using it is great.1

Lopay are cheaper than SumUp and Zettle, only 0.79%0

I came here to say exactly this! Lopay have been great to use and are less than half the price of Square, SumUp and Zettle, so long as you don't mind getting paid weekly - it's 0.79%. But you can also get next day at 0.99% and instant payouts at 1.79%, which is what I switch to on Fridays and Saturdays to make sure I can get paid over the weekend. These guys are definitely worth a look.CRT1987 said:Lopay are cheaper than SumUp and Zettle, only 0.79%
