Current fix with Eon. Should I fix again?

  • Sorry, the offer I got was for a tariff called NEXT_1_YEAR_V18_ROB. So that must have been a more expensive version of v18 (lucky me).
This tariff is fixed for 1 year but crucially is NOT Direct Debit.  ROB= Payment on Receipt of Bill.

So yes a more expensive version of v18.

So the thing to take from this is that the Online Direct Debit version is cheaper than the Payment on Receipt of Bills version and that v19 is more expensive than v18 (on a like-for-like tariff type)
  • Sorry for the endless questions and thank you so for the help. I have one last chance of info. My Eon Next account has opened up new offers. One of these is the standard v19, which they've said will be £760 a month for me. The other is Next Flex, at £340 a month. My fix is until 2nd October, so this new tariff stars October second. But I'm not sure if the next flex price quote includes the October price rise or if this would come after. Does anyone know?

The price rises are looking like 100% between now and January. So even if the next flex price goes up by 100%, it'll still be cheaper than v19. So I should choose next Flex, right?

    Thanks again (again).

It does not include the October cap. October cap will officially announced next week Friday.

Thanks. So if next flex is less than half of v19. I should be okay to take next flex? Or should I take v19 and cancel it if the cap rises less than 100%?

Here are the current predictions we are aware of from CI and Auxilione.

October is quite similar and should be near to the real cap.

The further in the future the less reliable the numbers are.

You need to make your mind up how reliable you find this and if you want to gamble on it.

Ive seen that table a few times over the last week but is 66.32p per KWh for Electricity correct for Q3 2023 as I thought projections had rates dropping by then?
