If this is in the wrong place then please remove. Thank you.
I have been quoted £400 for removals from my two bed house to a 3 bed about half an hour away. Does this seem reasonable?
It doesn't include moving white goods as I won't need to but does include the dismantling and reassembling of two large beds. I'm in the South/West if that matters.
Many thanks,
JAK

I paid £650 for a 3 bed move 10 minutes away, that included dismantling a bed. I think that's a good price.1

Great, thank you. I thought it probably was but I wanted to check what other's had paid.

Sounds very reasonable. Is it a man and van type thing or removals company? Double check insurance cover and that it'll be done in one trip.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0

Sounds very reasonable to me! Last time I moved it was not much less than that, 12 years ago. 2-bed to 2-bed only five minutes down the road. Washing machine was the only white good they moved, just furniture and a zillion boxes. I did all of the taking apart and putting back together though.0

Blimey @woodpeckerx that's an insane amount of money!
Yes it's a proper firm, they moved me before ages ago. They gave me mates rates and a discount for cash. I'm pretty happy with the quote now, I just wanted to check really because it's a long time since I moved.

I've had quotes recently between £1300-£1900 for moving a 3 bed 140 miles. Quotes include disassembly/reassembly of 2 beds, but not packing. White goods including washing machine and large fridge freezer.1
