EOn Next Trying To Pull fast one

When EoN-Next couldn't read my smart meter, I did the obvious thing, read my meter myself, every month sent the reading to EoN -Next and they produced a bill (every month). It was easy fast and accurate and I didn't have any issues
TBH if you dont' bother to check your meter, (smart or otherwise) or make sure that your bills are accurately reflecting your consumption and you leave it for six months then you've really only got yourself to blame if it all goes awry.
Just my opinion you understandNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
right. so. its this last bit that's not making sense to me. for my little brain. this is me making up numbers and dates to see if i understand the situation.nekr0mantik said:Today they re billed me for that 6 months period and reversed credit in my account and added on the full amount for that 6 months period not removing money paid Via DD during that period.
you joined eon in january and started paying 10 per month when (hindsight) you should have been paying 20
in june (6 months later) they read the metres and sent you a bill for 60 (120 minus the 60 you had paid by DD). you complained and they gave you a good will payment of 30 off what you owed.
you paid the extra 30 and increased your DD to 20 per month.
1. they have just gone back on that arrangement and voided the 30 good will credit so are now billing you again for the 60 you underpaid between jan and june.
OR
2. they have just billed you 120 so are ignoring the good will payment and the money you have paid by DD and to pay your debt?Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

No I didn't misunderstand, I was just trying to get clarification of what you posted. Never mind, I'm sure others who do understand will give you the answers that you seek, For the sake of clarification, just ignore all my Q's as they are obviously irrelevant to your problem.nekr0mantik said:

The raising of your direct debit may have little to do with the lack of monthly billing.nekr0mantik said:So my electricity supply was with eon and then last year they become eon Next and transfer didn't go well as it turned out they were not able to read smart meter for 6 months and they didn't send bills for that period but I had static direct debit in place during that time. February this year they decided to bill me for those periods and I raised complaint as it's their fault not mine so I got credit added to account to reduce debt. Now today they decided to do review and again charged me for that period and removed all credit on my account. So my direct debit in 2 weeks will be 130 higher due to this! Raised another complaint but got told wait 8 week's for billing history to be analysed! Anyone else had this? I'm furious! Might contact ombudsman.
Q1) Did you create an online account with Eon Next?
Q2) Did you give Eon Next monthly meter reads anyway? Your meter read history would show a lack of any readings.
Q3) How much was your credit?
Q4) Have you worked out what sort of payments you will need to make for the year commencing October 1st 2022 to cover your anticipated usage?
Q5) Do you know what your household actual usage is likely to be (rather than Eon Next estimate) for the year commencing 1st October 2022?
FWIW, my average monthly payments in the year to 30th September 2022 will work out to be in the region of £81pcm. For the year starting 1st October 2022 (when my present 1-year fix runs out) I'd be looking in the region of £205+ pcm (using actual usage for the period 12 months prior, including the £400 grant but excluding any further changes to usage). So my monthly DD would need to rise by £124+ pcm if I was paying by fixed monthly DD.
They not raising direct debit. Read my clarification post above.1 -
Yes number 2 but I was with eon since July 2019 and was paying 35 a month during the period they re charging me for. Which was 10 less then actual use.ariarnia said:

They said the the team that does the looking through all the accounts takes 8 week's so if they decide to cancel the second time change for same period it won't happen until 8 week's time but I am moving out in 2 weeks and don't want to pay 120 quid extra during flat moving period!0 -
up to you but if i were you id maybe give them your final meter reading when you move out and your forwarding address and tell them you would be happy to pay the final bill on receipt when they've had chance to work it out properly? and id suggest keeping the money on hand/on one side just in case theyre right and youve misunderstood something and the 120 is something else.nekr0mantik said:

you arent refusing to pay the bill your disputing it so they shouldnt chase you for the debt (or report it as a default to any of the credit reference people) while the dispute is open.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

Yes not going to cancel direct debit otherwise they will report to credit agencies. So have to be out of pocket for two months which in current climate is not good.ariarnia said:
