we dont know what the rates will be from october. at current standard variable rates that would cost you about

    gas - (7.37p*10687=£787.63)+(27.22*365=£99.35) = £886.98 per year/£73 month
    electric - (28.34p*3913=£1,108.94)+(45.34*365=£165.491) = £1,274.43 per year/£106.20 month

i think the estimates are something like another 50% on top of current rates, so if your usage is right then that would mean a total monthly payment of around £268.80. we'll no better at the end of the month. not including your existing credit and that also doesn't include the £400.
Where do you get estimates of 50% increase? Those are from end of June. Current single figure prediction is about 70%, and to calculate it you need to know the split between gas and electricity as gas will be more likely near 100% increase.

imo best to wait until the end of August when the actual October SVT figures will be announced.
Afaik the energy suppliers won't take the £400 into account when setting DDs.
Your correct about then not taking the £400 into account when working out the DD so an account could be £400, plus any further credit, in credit come the end of winter 2023. I queried it with my supplier, Octopus and they said that the DD doesn't take the £400 into account when working out the DD of customers.
Someone please tell me what money is
