Dear experts,
Hope this msg finds you safe and well.
I have received an LBC from Gladstones Solicitors representing their client Private Parking Solutions London LTD.
I have read through the newbie thread and I am about to dispatch the SAR email to Private Parking Solutions London LTD and an email to Gladstones denying debt and telling them about the SAR to PPSL.
At this stage I just wanted to confirm if the email Ids I have gleaned from their website and letter are the most apt ones for this.
1. I couldn't locate any email Id for the PPSLL DPO on their privacy page. The only generic email is : info@privateparkingsolutions.co.uk
2. And the email on the Gladstones letter is : enquiries@gladstonessolicitors.co.uk
Could you please advise. Many thanks for your time in advance.
Best Regards
Sam

You are not the first person today to have trouble finding their Data Protection Officer's email address.

Many thanks for your guidance Keith, and for pointing me to the other thread, I can keep an eye on that too to ensure I am not repeating any queries that may have been answered there. You are not the first person today to have trouble finding their Data Protection Officer's email address.

What's the background to the PCN (when, where) and did you ever appeal?
Did the PPC use an old address for you that you must now urgently get 'erased' by the PPC and Gladstones, or did you get all the letters and just ignored them?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The street in question and the parking area to the best of my knowledge does not serve any retailer, hotel or hospital, neither is this a residential area or a paid parking lot. I wasnt occupying any parking bay or obstructing any entrance/exit or traffic flow, I was merely stopped for a few mins next to the sign at the end of this street as it is not a very familiar street to me.
I started receiving letters afterwards which I was terribly incredulous about and so never responded to any of them, they were sent to my current address.
This is a case of downright bullying really and with your guidance I aim to fight it all the way.1 -
Yep. We rarely see one that's not just bullying. You should win it in the end. There are 3 or 4 new Gladstones threads today that you should read, then search for more.
I posted some robust replies to LBCs earlier this year on Gladstones threads, plus I posted a 'Dear Sirs' pre-action protocol letter in a reply on a DCBLegal thread 2 days ago you might want to adapt.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I had gone to the end of a street adjacent to our High Street and briefly stopped next to a parking sign to read the restrictionsWas this definitely a private road/street? Can you give us the name of the street and a post code so we can have a look at it on Google Street View please? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

BTW, to my surprise, PPSL have already replied to my SAR (within 30 mins of sending the SAR). It contains:
1. 5 photos of my car which have all been clicked manually, within a space of 1 minute and 13 seconds.
2. And the sixth photo which shows the sign that reads "no parking at any time".
3. Plus, 2 Letters that were sent in July and Aug 2021.
Would I be right in saying that if they had any further photos they are legally required to share them with me? And so, if these are the only photos that they have sent to me and these show the duration between first and last picture of 1 min 13 seconds (which is consistent with my memory of the event, as I was there no more than a few minutes, trying to read the sign and eventually turning around to leave the street) then there is no claim here, as this is way under the grace period as stated in the code of practice?

Yes that is all they have.
I'd wait for the 30 days you've asked Gladstones for, then hit them with the robust reply and add your own facts such as lack of compliance with the mandatory grace period rule (strictly speaking, consideration period).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am sure I am being paranoid, as I think the street address coupled with dates alone will be casting a very wide net, but just to be on the safer side.0 -
I am sure I am being paranoidThere's no need to hide such basic stuff as the GSV and location detail. We see that level of detail regularly, which can often give rise to comments from regulars who know, recognise or have dealt with the location in the past. Are you certain that this is a private road? The local council can confirm. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front.
