Full version of Barclaycard app?

I think you can use Barclays app for Barclaycard if you have a Barclays account, but not if you only have a Barclaycard.

I'm amazed at how unreliable the app seems to be. It's no longer telling me that I don't have the full version, but all is definitely not well. I've linked it to my avios account, but it won't show the points. I could use the app to see my pin the other day, but that option has now disappeared. I can't connect Barclaycard to my money dashboard account, says that option is not available. App still has no chat option. And it's saying to call if I want to make a payment.

If I compare what I've seen so far with amex, JL card and Halifax apps, I have had very smooth experiences with all of these. Together with better functionality available. This is my new amex back up card, let's hope I don't have to use it too often!

The Barclays (v3.12.6) and Barclaycard (v7.12.6) apps appear identical on my iPhone - with the same functionality

Not quite identical. Beneath your Barclaycard Rewards card balance the top app says "Current balance | VISA XXXX" whereas the bottom app says "As at HH:MM on DD/MM/YY | VISA XXXX".

An update to be fair to Barclaycard.

It seems I was only using a cut down version of the app. A couple of days ago a message appeared saying I now have full access. So now I have access to chat, have attached to money dashboard, can see pin and avios points are linked.

It seems that the weakness is with their communication. Even though I had the message saying I didn't have full access, it didn't explain what this meant and what would happen.
