Triangle Port Voda - out - Voda

Options
I'm currently on Voda pay monthly sim due to come out of contract.I'm looking to stay with voda and looking for the best way (cheapish) to do this. I notice that Asda have a PAYG with a low top up of £5. However I think Asda use the Voda network so am I right in thinking I cannot go this route.   Any alternatives similarly priced please?

  • I did exactly this in April (Voda PAYM --> Asda --> Voda PAYM) so it is (was) possible. You may even be able to use the donor Asda sim without adding credit since it will activate before credit is added and the PAC request can be sent to their 2732 free text service number (I can't confirm this as I bottled it and added credit before transferring away).

I guess you could sign up for the MSE Lyca deal for £1.39, use the sim for the port in/out then cancel before the second payment is due.  https://www.lycamobile.co.uk/ucustomer/exclusive-lyca-mobile-offers/

EDIT: Presumably using the PAC code from Lyca would cancel the contract?

Use Lebara - £1.40 deal - staying on  Voda (network) is a good thing - less chance of a 'split port' I believe (where folk on the network you left still get through to the supposedly dead SIM while all others get through to the new SIM).
