Will I be able to sell this Right to buy with restrictions from housing association

Hi
I’d appreciate any help or advice as I’m at wits end now and stressed with this right to buy ,I’m supposed to be at the end stages of the right to buy we thought this would be a great opportunity to get on the housing ladder like a few of my friends did years ago with the RTB but our hopes are being quickly drowned on that we discovered the the house we are planning on buying comes with restrictions covenants
the property is a small 3 bed terraced house  so we was planning to extend and possibly put a garden room to the rear as we have quite a rear big garden, the housing association have been quite sneaky in the whole application process as we was not told of and restrictions until the Solictor was appointed then bought them to light by then we had already signed to say we was happy with there valuation thus meaning we could no longer appeal to the district surveyor for a revaluation, as I feel there valuation is wrong for the reason being in the square of 20 properties we are 1 of 3 that have this restriction all of the other properties were purchased from the local council that did not have any restrictions set before the housing association took over then decided to put restrictions to all properties sold under the right to buy so my property I don’t think would have the same value as one without restrictions.
My Solictor as been useless I have asked them to raise the query that states in the covenants the council will not unreasonably withhold permission because this doesn’t meant they won’t and what exactly this means,as on research it don’t mean a lot for the buyer it affects it’s more a legal term needed for them to refuse permission but I could be wrong?
The housing association are now using protection of green spaces to say that covenants are there so that private gardens can only be used as such once purchased through the RTB,I’ve been in contact with them and they don’t even seem to know anything they sent a form to fill in for alterations for tenants making alterations  when I told them that we was buying the property we was told to buy the property first then go to local planning even though no planning would be required and planning permission dose not override covenants we’ve also tried to get them to pre agree to planned works before purchase but not even a response.
One of my very main concerns is that if we buy the property and then we are left with a pink elephant that no one wants to buy in the future when we decide to sell because of the restrictions on the property all of the properties in the area have had no problem selling but these properties did not have the covenants attached And it’s quite ridiculous that my neighbour freely built a extension and the other side built a garden room but I’m not unable to,there green space is free do what they like but mine isn’t even to the point I will be required to pay a change to have greens cut outside but everyone else there no charge  not a deal breaker but still unfair.

I'm just starting to think it’s all a bit of a con you get the right but your right is is quickly taken a away with this restriction, the housing association will have there money and they will also have still continue with some control over the property and I could be left with a house no one wants unless it’s well under valued  later down the road
if anyone bought there property and was able to sell at market value without  problems with restrictive covenants ?
What are my options other than to say keep your discount with the rtb which that’s all the HA really wants me to do so they keep there property
any advise or help will be thankfully appreciated

Thanks

I don't see the problem really. It's very commonplace to require consent - if it says they cannot unreasonably withhold consent then that's quite good protection from your point of view. It's not going to affect the marketability or value of the property in any significant way.
