It’s not just hotels and B & Bs.  Self catering places are much more expensive.  We haven’t had a holiday cottage since just before Covid and the prices this year were astronomical in comparison.

Im looking to have a cottage in the Highlands next June.  I can’t believe how much of June is already booked, it must be Outlander’s influence   :D

We've rented holiday cottages in Scotland for many years, including the last three.  I can recommend https://www.unique-cottages.co.uk

However do not assume cottages are booked.  We were in a 'fully booked' group of cottages in July, but most were empty as the owners were having trouble getting staff to service and maintain them so were limiting the numbers being let.
