Accommodation in London

I am looking to stay in London for a few nights (Friday - Sunday) and noticed the prices are bananas compared to last year (about triple the price of some hotels). Is there any other sites to use which looks or is it pretty much the usual (Airbnb, booking and late rooms etc?). I have tried looking at B&bs but they seem somewhat hard to find.
Any help would be massively appreciated

Which area of London?
Come on you Irons0 -
prices are a lot higher this year due to demand - it's similar everywhere.0

You might need to consider staying further out of town on a tube line if you need to get the costs down a bit. It's supply and demand - and at this time of year on a weekend, demand outstrips supply, particularly if there's any big events going on.0

It certainly seems mad prices. We used to stay at the Travelodge in Harlesden/Willesden/Wembley. £29 per night and £5 for parking. On the North Circular Road, but cheap as chips! Travelodge in Covent Garden, £39 tops - for a family room. One comfy double bed plus a (very uncomfortable) single bed. It's all gone mad!
#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660 -

It's all gone mad!I suspect that was when Travelodge had different owners and regular sales though - I bet I'm not the only one on these boards who used to set my alarm for about 5am in the morning to grab the £9 a night rooms when they came up in the sales.Different times, different prices....

premier inn hubs are reasonable and new locations opening all the time.0

There's even a Wetherspoon's hotel in West London that's not too pricey, handy for Wembley but limited for parking, prices start at £39.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
