Any updates on recommended savings accounts for the £500 monthly debit card payments?
Easiest is paypal friends and family payment on the card for the Halifax account to spouse / other trusted person. Me and wife have three Halifax accounts each and..... 😁

Chip works as a card payment if you are happy to wait 3 days. Withdrawing from Chip a few days later also counts as a £500 payment in. I then accidentally overpaid into a Coventry regular saver before the due date of later this month, and the £500 bounce back was surprisingly credited as a payment too so that's more than 2/3rds of my requirements taken care of already

Do internal transfers count for the £1500 the account needs?

    hi,
i usually wait until the tracker "resets" which is usually 3 or 4 days in to the month. i could do with doing the transfers, spend etc today but would that work or does the previous months tracker indeed need to have cleared?
p.s i asked here as its the most recent thread close to my questions. MSE search is pretty poor :p

You can do transfers/spend on the 1st. They count towards the right month

I have been living proof of this for months. I never even bother to look at the tracker.

As above, I never bother checking the Tracker and always do my £1500 funding & £500 debit card payment (towards credit card bill) on 1st or 2nd. No problems encountered.
That £1500 enjoys its 4 brief visits before £500 ends up back @ base😊.

I do everything on the 1st but always make a point of checking the tracker mid-month - both for assurance (particularly in cases where the £500 has been split between multiple credit card payments and saving deposits) and also to ensure I've not missed any renewals (lost a fiver by missing one a couple of years ago, never again!).
