Switching from 3 contract to PAYG?

Hi
I'm on a 3 contract I really like but they've just notified me I'll be losing my EU roaming rights soon when that contract ends.
I see the 3 PAYG contract still offers roaming in 71 countries. Can I just switch directly to that?

Remember that Three's PAYG rates have just risen to 35/15/10p per min/text/MB so even with the £2/day charge to roam on a PAYM contract it may be better "value" than PAYG (depending on your useage).
There's a mechanism to move from PAYG to PAYM keeping the same number, but moving the other way might involve a port to a non-3 PAYG and then back to 3.
Are you keen to remain with Three? O2 (and others) have retained "free" roaming for the forseeable.1 -
Thanks, I really liked their non-EU roaming too. Do you know anyone who does that for a reasonable price?0
