Definitely on the mend now @carrielovesfanta though slow progress - I have done hardly anything at all for a week, but did the few things mentioned yesterday :)
As for today, dog taken out first thing, and washing up done. There is loads that needs doing (the house is like a tip) but realistically only small jobs will get tackled again today.
Shopping will be arriving between 10-11, so it makes sense to sort out the fridge before that happens (I've been aiming to do that for days :D ) but will definitely get off my behind and do it in a minute!
Not sure what, if anything, will be accomplished after that.

    Morning all!

Working from home again today - which is good as it gave me extra time in bed as tired after netball last night (I can never sleep afterwards!)

    Today I have/will:
    • Check banks
    • Raise query with CC as a duplicate transaction showing
    • Make CC payment as statement now come in
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Wash hair and let dry naturally
    • Washing on 30 degree eco wash
    • Put tortoises in the garden as it's nice today - saves having their lamp on during the day
    • Sort out car boot a bit - still boxed up from last time but needs a bit of a tidy/ re-shuffle
    • Hang washing on airer
    • Lunch and dinner from stores
    • Crochet in front of the TV
Hope you all have a good day!

    Morning all :)
Not feeling great again today, a bit faint and nauseous. Managed a short walk with the dog. I am now way beyond the 5 days (I think, it isn't discussed any more) recommended self isolation, but as I still feel unwell, common sense tells me that it is not a great idea to mix with other people, so I go early and pass any other people who are around on the opposite side of the road. Haven't done anything else yet, but I will need to do some watering in the garden, and will continue to do small household jobs between resting. Managed quite a bit yesterday using this method, including sorting out RM surveys stuff and updating my rather neglected spreadsheet.

    I have:
Watered the plants that needed it in the garden.  No hosepipe ban here yet, but I am  catching the water from the kitchen hot tap (before it runs hot) in a large jug instead of letting it go down the drain, and finding it quite adequate to keep the front garden flowers watered :)
Kitchen clean up including the top of the cooker :)
Made some sourdough scones after resurrecting my starter yesterday after a week or so of neglect. Froze some of them :)
Picked up a few fallen apples from under the tree, prepped them, and made a crumble with garden berries and some crumble mix out of the freezer :)
Netted the apple tree - it was a bit of a faff, as, though it isn't a big tree, it is bigger then me. The pesky jackdaws are eating the lovely red apples (they aren't quite ripe enough to pick yet).
Washed out a couple of good quality freezer bags and pegged them on the line to dry, much to OH's consternation :D
  • Morning folks

@ziggy2407 - sorry to hear you're not well at the moment :(

Bit tired this morning but all my own fault. On the plus side, lots of the work projects are resolving all at once so I'm only dealing with one full time and one part time now.

    MSE things:
 Gym 3/3 - I pay for 3 per week so it makes sense to use them!
 B/L from stores. Possibly going to buy tapas bits for tea but this was pre-planned.
 WFH so saved a load of petrol
 Messaged our power supplier to get them to update the pricing info in the smart meter as the tariff didn't update. Should be sorted in 72 hours. This will help track the power usage
 Wash the other dining room curtain. They say dry clean but pffft... I like to live dangerously. MSE as A: cheaper than dry clean. B: I can use a cold wash and C: I bought the curtains for £10 off ebayso even if they were ruined, it's not a big deal.

    Non-MSE things:
:warning: Buying dinner, but just supermarket bits. Will combine with a few shopping bits needed at the same time

    Other things:
:cookie: Lazy day for OH (poor chap is knackered from his gig last night)
:cookie: Lazy-ish work day for me - I can work at a slower pace
:cookie: Have a think about what I want to get done this weekend
:cookie: Persuade OH to run the hoover round the main drag

    Have a good one all

    Hi All

Thanks for well wishes and apologies for my miserable post yesterday but definitely not feeling myself and todays hospital appointment hasn't really helped and am back on steroid treatment for the forseeable future until my body stops attacking itself.  Need to get back to the "old me" and appreciate each day.

    Today's very small things

    Checked Bank and made PAD
Hospital Appointment - grateful for the NHS and its amazing staff
Few bits from shops using vouchers and a couple of cheap/free bits from Shopmi*m
    Uploaded receipts
Read  (upside to illness means using library more and actually reading some from groaning shelves)
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer
    Check: PMP, WinaDinner, Freejackpot, Daali

    Night all!

    Morning folks!

@ziggy2407 - you're allowed to feel down love, it sounds like you're going through the wringer at the moment xx

Looks like a nice sunny day here. Looking forward to pottering about in it. I indulged in a couple of rums last night and I'm paying for it now. Literally a couple. I remember the days when I could drink...

I've been looking at upgrading our slow cooker as I'd like a bigger one. Plus the inside of the bowl is getting quite scratched and it's getting hard to clean. With all the energy prices going up, I decided to plump for a multicooker. Got a nice big Russell Hobbs one for £60 instead of forking out over £150 for a Ninja or InstaPot. In fact, said multicooker was £80 in Argos so I'm glad I did a quick search - I think Currys must have had a flash sale. The irony is that the two shops are basically next door to each other on our local retail park. I can get shot of the old s/c and some dead batteries while I'm there!

Speaking of energy prices - the tariff change has pushed through to my smart meter successfully (I almost had a heart attack this morning when it said £1.39 used at 9am :astonished: previously I could be using less than that in a day! It doesn't help that the standing charge has doubled.

    MSE things today:
    B/L/D from stores
    Sensible purchase of multicooker
 Watch smartmeter like a hawk
    Washing outside to dry
    Update budget sheet

    Non-MSE things:
:warning: Initial outlay of £59.99 for multicooker
:warning: Need to get lawn seed and feed from local hardware shop

    Other things:
    :cookie: Potter round the garden
    :cookie: Bit of dusting
:cookie: Chill out and watch more of the Crossfit Games.

    Have a good one all
