As a park home resident we each have a meter and billed by the owner of the site monthly, but the main supply is a business account. We make the cheques payable to N Power. So how do we get the credit???

    Looks like there is progress...

Thanks very much Robin9.  So in real terms the  £66 can go towards both gas and electricity?

Like most of us, my direct debit amount will have to go up and this credit to my account is welcome.

    ... Difficult times all round

'''''''''''''''''''''''''is the £66 taken off the whole direct debit amount or only ftom the proportion of electricity use?....................
Its not being taken OFF the DD   bit is a credit to the account. Your DD is unchanged (unless you choose to change 0
The way the statement is worded, it could be either...
"Direct Debit customers will receive the Energy Bill discount automatically as a deduction to the monthly Direct Debit amount collected, or as a refund to the customer’s bank account following Direct Debit collection during each month of delivery"
It is a DD after all, not a standing order, so the supplier is able to change the amount it collects each month....

@pochase  That's not how I read the extract you have quoted -  it does not mention altering of DD's

edit - I'm expecting to see an extra line on my bill -saying "Government Support  £66/67)"
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Additional info from the official government page.

But still no mention of people who live in mobile home parks who buy gas and electric from the management company or people who pay for energy included in their rent.

Who wants to bet that the standing charge for gas will go up, so that the total standing charge on elect and gas is matched by the £400. It would have been much simpler just to abolish the standing charges, esp for older prepayment meters. Basically the energy co's exhorting money from the govn straight into the pockets of executives. I realise they have previously lost lots of money but come April 2023 I expect electric rates to be down and standing charges abolished.

Just look at the top of this page and the statement @MWT quoted.

You need to read the official government statement and not the watered down information in the press.
