Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy air feels much fresher and more comfortable. Wash load in WM.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was ham, cheese and mushroom omelettes with salad and hot new potatoes. Tonight something easy and chips.
Normal Friday chores to do.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all
Looks to be a nice day here, I have a wash on the go so will hang it out after. I am feeling so much better abd the Dr has left me another prescription out so I will go and collect that later and I will feel better going away with some tablets just in case.
Off this morning for my waxing then home for a few hours then off to get a pedicure and manicure which I love so should be a nice day.
Not sure about dinner I will go and look in the freezer after this.
Have good days all xxx12 -
Morning folks.Good to hear that you're feeling better Ruby. After a dreary start yesterday the sun came out for a while. My lovely gardener planted the clematis then lots of little strawberry seedlings which I'd left too long in their spot and did a bit of weeding. I did my little bit of shopping.Today I'll have to start clearing out the shelves behind the spare bed. It's a pain as the bed is currently full of my holiday stuff but it needs to be done. Most of the stuff will go out somewhere or other, I have had use of any of it since I moved here in 2013 so I won't need it anymore. 😀Nelski - you're doing so well at your Mum's place. I wish you strength to carry on.Enough for now, got to get going. Happy Friday to all.13

Morning All
Pleased to hear you're feeling better today Ruby, good idea to get more medication before you go away.
Happy shelf sorting Gers, I love a good declutter although I don't do it often enough!
DD is 30 today, not sure how that happened. We're going for a meal later in Glasgow, should be good. DS2 and DP will join us, they are presently at DS1's house in Perth but DS1 is presently working down south.
My friend's son is 19 today so will go and get him some beer later along with a few bits of shopping, will have to take my trolley as DS2 has taken the car. I'll pick up DD's car later as she doesn't really use it over the weekends.
Washing surprisingly up to date, probably just as well as it doesn't look too promising out this morning although sunshine is forecast. We had an epic rain shower yesterday so at least the garden doesn't need watering.
Hope everyone's well, happy Friday and take care. XX11 -
Hi everyone,
Ruby, I'm glad you're feeling better, I hope you have a lovely holiday.
Gers, yours is coming nearer as well so have a good break.
Happy birthday to your DD camelot.
We're alone so I will not be interrupted while posting today, I started a post yesterday and never got it finished. L, B and E have gone to Wales for a few days and we will be joining them on Sunday so I am enjoying a couple of days of peace.
Steve is going over to help Chris with a few things. Unfortunately Crystal had a scan and the baby is still breech so it now seems likely that she will end up with a caesarian section so she is feeling a bit upset about that.
There was a bad water leak in the area and ours was reduced to just a trickle and nothing in the upstairs taps for almost two days. It came on again late yesterday afternoon which was a relief but I had to cancel the cleaner so I need to do the bathrooms now I have some water.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning all,
Nice bright start to the day here so I'll get some washing done and line dried today. Cleared the ironing last night too. The shower head collapsed on me this morning which was a bit of a shock. Luckily we have another shower room I could use. DH will take a look at it today, plus the dishwasher is broken - maybe the pump. Again DH will take a look before we call someone out.
Dinner tonight will be chilli con carne with homegrown chillis.
Glad you're feeling better Ruby and happy holidays.
Hope the sorting/clearing goes well Gers - I need to find the motivation to do our spare room which is a bit of a dumping ground.
Happy birthday to your DD camelot - have a great time celebrating.

Morning...Stones shifted, sewing area cleared, jobs done...I did fill up the boot a little bit last night but left all the heavy stuff that portentially has spiders in it until today. I didn't think I had that much until I started putting stuff in. After that, I'm going to play on my sewing machine, I found a pair of jeans one of my friends asked me to fix , I had completely forgotten about them. To be fair, she has too. And then, I will start tracing the pattern and gather some bits together to make a funky top. That's all my plans for today...Ruby, glad you're feeling better! Gers, good luck with your declutter..Camelot, enjoy your day out gallivanting. Nels, it is tiring, but it's not just being tired, it's being mentally exhausted too with all the decision making and thinking. snoozer, commiseration to Laura but as long as the birth is a successful one, does it matter where it comes out? Coxy, should ave had a bath..
Anyway, enjoy yourselves today doing nothing or doing something...

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Yet another mizzly start for us. This is getting too regular but I suppose the endless drizzle must be doing the gardens some good. The towels and bath mats had to be hung on the airer upstairs yesterday as it certainly wasn't a pegging out day. It all feels dry this morning so will put away next.
It's vac and dust up and down day and maybe the downstairs windows will get cleaned too (or maybe they won't!)
My BFF has gradually felt better as the week has gone on and is expecting the same to happen when she has her next treatment in 2 weeks. Only 2 more sessions to go, followed by a scan so the fingers will be well and truly crossed for her. The lovely doggy of our other friend had the tumour removed from her mouth and she is now awaiting the result of the biopsy and prognosis in about a week. Worrying times all round.
I have yet to christen my meals for the day, I need to do a freezer dive shortly. I am ashamed to say the freezer inventories have totally gone to pot!!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and fed up. NELS I think we all wish we were nearer and could give you a hand at your DM's house. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning all dog walked and fed and baby clothes washing is on its going to be a lovely day for drying other than the alarm man coming absolutely nothing to do bar some hoovering
Nels Thinking of you as others have said if only we were closer but in the mean time take it slowly and make doubly sure your solicitor/estate agent has made the buyers aware this is not a quick sale x

I've made a start on the stuff in the spare bedroom, it won't be as difficult as I thought, fingers crossed. So far there are books from my childhood which must have meant a lot to me. They are mostly history and fable, one is about King Arthur written by Enid Blyton. Unfortunately they are too battered to take to a CS, apart from the hard covers being torn I've written in each one, date and address and even coloured in some of the lovely illustrations. Such vandalism is shocking in one so young!Once I've pulled the bed out I'll get behind and move out the box of CDs and the rest of the books.Last night I was delighted to see that the women in Jersey Commonwealth team were wearing the exact same dress which I bought for my hols.
Red with lightning bolts on from Scamp and Dude.
I rewound the programme a couple of times to make sure.
TA - lovely to hear that your BF is feeling better, it's a rough time for her.Now I'm waiting for my call from Oz so will get another cuppa ready.9
