Water Rates Overcharging

Hi

I am a business customer with Waterplus, I just moved to Everflow and saved about £200.00 a year. They want to do an audit to see if I have been overcharged, they charge 50% of anything being reclaimed over the past six years.  Call me stupid but shoudn't I be able to find out if I have been overcharged on my own ?
