Hope you included the rest of the template defence, all nicely numbered and formatted.Do you have the acknowledgement email reply?
BBC WatchDog “if you are struggling with an unfair parking charge do get in touch”
Please then tell us here that you have done so.1 -
Ok. Good!
As long as that was emailed to the CCBC as part of the template defence in its entirety AND you got an acknowledgement email straight back?
Did you change para 2 of the Template Defence and admit to being the driver as well?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

In reading the notes and taking into account the initial advice here I had tried to use MCOL (thinking that it was a shortcut to "getting my defence in") but the form wouldn't allow the text.
I compromised and sent a message into that box saying I would be providing the defence via email and submitted that.
There's nothing in addition to my updates in MCOL so far.
Does that mean I've avoided defaulting do you think?0 -
compromised and sent a message into that box saying I would be providing the defence via email and submitted that.No. Oh no...THAT IS YOUR DEFENCE.
Phone up the CCBC right now and tell them the attachment on the email is the defence and make sure they log THAT as today's defence not the words in the MCOL box.
Eeek. This is disastrous. STAY ON THE PHONE. It might take an hour in the queue but this is terrible for you.
We warn against this in all our advice.
NOT EVEN A FULL STOP GOES INTO 'START DEFENCE' ON MCOL.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

My earlier post did say...From now on the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

Crossed messages a little.
So @Mouse007 and @Coupon-mad:
- defence all numbered and formatted
- entire defence sent, including paragraph 2 to admit I was the driver
- acknowledgement email received from the court
Thank you both + @KeithP + @Trainerman
I'll look again tomorrow on MCOL to see what has changed (fingers xd)0 -
