Lyca Mobile Sim offer and blue light card
Just querying the Lyca Mobile 12GB offer that went up recently on the MSE website (£1.49 for first 6 months then £6.90 thereafter).
When you read the terms and conditions after clicking the link, it mentions the following: "Your plan is subject to Auto-renewal and Auto renewal is turned on by default so the Blue Light Card customers can avail the offer price, it will automatically renew once it expires." and also "Once you cancel the Auto-renewal option you will no longer benefit from the Blue Light Card exclusive offer. Please note that any auto- renewal cancellation request made on or after the expiry date will not be accepted. The discounted price valid for Blue Light Card customer only."
Does this mean the offer is only for Blue Light card holders? It doesn't seen at all clear on the MSE website or on Lyca's website.
I'd be grateful if this could be clarified if anyone has taken up the offer already.
Thanks.

I spotted this when looking at the MSE offer page. My first thought was that it looks like a clumsy cut'n'paste from a similar offer elsewhere on their website. I guess that a call to their CS might shed some (blue) light.0

I ordered 3 of these SIMs on Sunday. £1.49 each. No mention of Blue Card or anything when ordering. Only 2 have arrived. They are now active and in two of the family's phones, and numbers ported over. I had to call Lyca customer services today and was on hold 15 mins before getting through - but the assistant was very helpful and started a case with an escalation team to find out where my other SIM is. Their website for requesting to port your number from your old SIM to the new Lyca SIM is very badly translated into English. I guessed what they wanted in the end and the two number ports went through - albeit one a day later than requests. I actually ended up speaking to previous operator, GiffGaff, who were about to corroborate the ports were going ahead. Lyca did text repeatedly with some updates. So I await to see if SIM number 3 will arrive. This is allot save around £210 over next year - not insignificant, but it has been hard work so far. In fairness to Lyca, moving operators and operating numbers is always a bit of a bumpy ride. Just hoping SIM number 3, that I have already paid for, shows up.0
