  • Thanks all of you. I've just committed to an extra 3 1/2 hours just incase, bringing me to 15 1/2.
Obviously being on UC I lose 55% of any extra I work but I just like to do a little because they're ok with me when needing swaps or whatever.

Just to confirm - are you paid NMW? If you are paid at a higher rate you would need to be working fewer hours as the threshold is expressed as earnings of 16 x NMW.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

I'm paid £10.20, is that too high?
She did say she could give me up to ten hours time owing,m rather than be paid. Maybe I'd be better taking 2 hours a week as time owing?

NMW is £9.50. The threshold is therefore £152/week. Sorry I didn’t pick this up earlier in thread.

So I've worked out that even 3 extra hours would make the wage £153, so still over.
I'm not sure whether to take as time owing instead.
It's such an awkward time, the company expect you to do extra in December.

This works out at £658/month and UC works everything out based on monthly figures. The ‘trigger’ that might impact the WCA is therefore if you receive more than £658 in your monthly UC period.

Thank you @calcotti. I'm just going to do the 2 extra shifts in the month at less than 4 hours each and just take them as time owing.

So yesterday I had a telephone appointment with Occupational Health in work. She is going to be recommending that I sit when needed & have breaks if needed. She said it sounds as if my Diabetes isn't under control and this is why I seem to be declining.

Anyway, my question is, once I have a copy of the report, will this help with my LCW claim and if so, how do I get it to them as my form has already been posted.
