The defence needs to be signed by and sent by the defendant; you can help with the admin but its all done in her name.  You can attend court as a Lay Rep but your wife must also attend the hearing.

Can I send this defence on behalf of my wife? Or does she need to send it? Same question for the actual court date, will I be allowed to speak for her?
Everything must be done in the name of the named Defendant.
So the Defendant must sign the Defence.

The Defendant must attend any hearing but you can speak on her behalf as a Lay Representative.

Yes, she has signed it, but I was going to email it to the relevant parties. Is this ok?

I wouldn't.  You can't. You are not a legal representative and are a stranger to this.

Email it from her email account or set up a new one in her name that you operate!

As said already though, at the hearing you can sign in together and you can 'lay rep' for her as long as she also attends. I've assisted people as a lay rep several times and spoken for them.

I missed the deadline to send back the N180 form. What should I do? Shall I still send it? Can I do it electronically?

Just email it now. No biggie.  Obviously copy in the solicitors too.

This is all explained in the first 12 steps in the first post of the Template Defence thread.

Thanks for that. Do now that this has been done, do I just sit back and wait for a court date? Or should I be preparing something?

I am pretty sure that the second post of the NEWBIES thread offers some guidance on that.
Why not read that and better understand the whole process?

    As I said:

You do need to read that - all of the first 12 steps, which tell you what to do next, and read the IMPORTANT: KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN section in the NEWBIES thread.

That walks you through the later stages, witness statement & evidence, and hearing stage.

The Announcement thread resources are there to spare us having to handle all the standard stages one by one on thread by thread.

The regulars here would all drown if no-one read the above carefully-written advice sections which are there to assist all of you with court claims and to ensure that you and all newbies in your shoes (there are shedloads of cases, all the same) are well prepared for what happens when.

We will be here to help you at WS stage and of course with any concerns in between that are unclear in the NEWBIES section about court procedures.
