That’s for monthly payers. 

The article says this for yearly ones:

” For annual payers, to keep the current price for a year, before 15 September you need to contact Amazon's customer service team, ask them to 'end benefits immediately' and then sign up again. If not, your membership would run until the renewal date even if you cancelled, taking the new payment until after that date.]”

They have already updated my subscription renewal to £95!

It can all be confusing. My membership renews on 8 Sept and I panicked they were upping it early, until I realise the asterisked £95 was for next year
