Boots where is my refund????

Last year I bought a breast pump from boots.com.Having only attempted to use it twice in the past year and both times found it did not keep its charge and if leaked I decided to take it back ?it was within the year).  I took it back to a local store and was told that I could have a refund but as I paid via Paypal it could take up to 30 days to refund.  No paper work was issued but on my online account for boots.com it said that ‘refund has been issued’.
I am now at week 5 and no refund has passed.
i have been in touch no end of times with Boots and the customer care is disgraceful.  I am forever promised an email or call back within 48 hours and nothing -along with being told that the refund will be in my account within 48 hours and nothing.  when i call to speak to a manager, a manager will not speak to me and instead assures me that I will get a callback which has not happened.
Paypal have advised me that Boots have in fact not requested any such refund as of yet.
I have gone back to the store where the refund was processed and they have tried to call Boots so they can reissue it and they have again been told that they would call me and they have not.
i am going around in circles and and i’m im disbelief how awful Boots customer care is.
The breast pump was £250 so they are with holding a lot of my money.
I have contacted my credit card to see if they can help and also contacted Action Fraud.
Any other ideas?
Paypal can not step in as it is over the 180 days for they to help.

Action Fraud won't be interested as there is absolutely no evidence of any fraudulent act taking place.  The refund is taking longer than the OP was told to expect, but that's all.

Sorry no other suggestion than keep trying with Boots but I would suggest in future not using PayPal as that’s probably what’s causing the issue here, refunding direct to a card would probably have been more automated.

Not sat in paypal account is it?

As many people expect it to go direct back to the method that paid paypal.

Credit card won't help as the S75 chain is broken.
Action Fraud won't be interested as there is no fraud here.
    Write a letter to Boots.
  • it’s not in paypal account.
payal have said they have had no request to refund 5 wks on.
    wrote endless emails to boots.
customer service is terrible as emails are not responded to and being refused to speak to management over the phone.
    limbo with it.
i mean 5 weeks is not good enough is it.

i have been in touch no end of times with Boots and the customer care is the worse I have came across!
For the first 5 weeks I was passed pillow to post and no one it would seem had any idea why the refund was taking so long and kept blaming paypal.
Paypal advised me that Boots have in fact not requested any such refund.
Finally a manager stepped in and I was hopeful.
The manager advised me to fill out a form for a BACS payment to be issued which my bank has told me should take 3 days to process - well this is almost 4 weeks now and it has still not been refunded.
Last week this manager told me that she had been told that the BACS had been reprocessed and would be in my account by today - well it’s not.
I called the customer service today and they AGAIN have raised a dispute but I have had no email from them and telephone call.
I am going around in circles and and i’m in disbelief how awful Boots customer care is.

    What else can I do?

you at week 9?..... it is 180 days for paypal disputes i believe
SCREENSHOT everything in the boots online account clearly showing it has been returned with order/account number showing etc. keep a paper trail, ....probably better speaking my email sometimes
  • paypal only would step in if the item was returned within 180 days since perchass and it was over that.
it is 9 weeks since i returned the item and still have not received my refund.
they have excuse after excuse there.
surely it can’t be that hard?
