I live in a converted chapel on Anglesey. I have been seeing a lot of adverts for solar panel schemes offering little or no cost to install because of government help. We are off grid for gas, relying on expensive LPG to heat our house. I'm finding it difficult to find any reliable information. We would like to install panels and a battery. We are both retired. Anyone have experience of these schemes, are they for real?

I don;t know about Wales, but the only "government help" in England for solar panels is the ECO4 scheme. This is available to people on low incomes in poor-energy-efficiency properties. You might qualify.Here are a couple of recent threads with examples:
