I´m afraid of the banks in the UK

You could raise a formal complaint with Lloyds and see if they might look into it further.0

Just open a bank account with HSBC or Santander to replace the one that Lloyds is closing..0

Moving large amounts of money isn’t necessarily unusual in itself but doing it from an international bank account and then to multiple providers in fairly quick succession is likely to raise some concerns by the bank.
Each bank appears to have their own thresholds, I’ve moved relatively large sums around between accounts, predominantly from NatWest to other accounts and sometimes back to NatWest again and they haven’t really been concerned.
Revolut, however, wanted to know the in’s and out’s of a ducks backside when I transferred several thousand but hindsight is a wonderful thing and in reality it was a new account so I can see their suspicions.
I would open up a mainstream bank account that you believe will work best for your situation and transfer whatever amount is left in your Wise account so that you get the full FSCS protection. Then look to start placing your money in best interest bearing savings accounts etc that again you think will work best for you, perhaps doing bite size chunks each month. This way, the bank will start to get a good picture of how you manage your account and hopefully you’ll remain a happy customer. If there is no immediate rush to spend that money then I see no reason why you can’t spend 6 months strategically placing it in accounts that work best for you.
Obviously keep all supporting evidence on source of funds. If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

I would suggest Santander as it will give you free ATM access when visiting home.
They offer an Everyday account that is free to operate.1 -
Do every Santander UK accounts offer free ATM withdrawal in Spain (i main exchange fee and ATM usage both free)? I was under the impression that only Select, 1-2-3 Mini and Student and maybe some other types had this benefit.Deleted_User said:I would suggest Santander as it will give you free ATM access when visiting home.

123 Lite definitely does have free ATM withdrawals at Santander ATMs in Spain, too. https://www.santander.co.uk/assets/s3fs-public/documents/fid-123-lite-current-account.pdfMarchitiello said:

I don't think I have seen anything about Santander waiving the foreign exchange fees for spending in Spain, on any of their UK accounts.0 -
Thanks, I knew that was only limited accounts types (hence my “maybe” other account types) but was responding to Oberoth that suggested the Everyday account also had free ATM usage in Spain. And yes, we are only talking about free ATM, not spending.Daliah said:

I don't think I have seen anything about Santander waiving the foreign exchange fees for spending in Spain, on any of their UK accounts.Santander used to offer the Zero Credit Card for Forex Fee Free spending (no annual fee) that was a good companion to a free ATM eligible Santander Uk account when travelling in Spain, but it has been closed to new applicant.
They now offer two other credit Card options that are Forex Fee Free but both have a subscription (monthly) fee, All in One Credit Card (£3 pm) and World Elite (£15 pm, but Subject to qualification criteria as a Select or Private banking customer)0
