Porting number to Lyca?
Have just got the 12GB data SIM from Lyca, current deal at 1.49 pm for 6 months.... Trying to use the "Port in" form on their website to transfer my number but I'm stumped. For some reason it is asking for three phone numbers, "number you want to keep", "new number" and "Lyca mobile number". I've tried entering the same number for number you want to keep and new number but I just get a spinning box... has anyone done this? I don't know if it matters but I'm currently with Lebara, I have the PAC code etc. and have done this before but I've never been asked for 3 numbers, usually it's just old number to keep and current SIM card number for new provider....?

Just figured out they mean the 19 digit SIM serial number stamped onto the SIM card.... I had to take a photo of it to read the digits but the holder the SIM card comes in has it written out in a larger font. Hope it helps someone else :-)4

Just for information the number port happened next business day. I put both Sims in the phone and it happened seamlessly. So moved from the 1.99 Lebara deal after almost the 6 months to the 1.49 Lyca deal with no probs (apart from me getting wrong end of stick with the number port form!) this can't last but I will keep hopping from one to the other now 😉2

Thanks for the feedback on the porting form.
I've just tried to fill it in and given up on the 4th attempt, after various errors using different combinations of the interpretations of the questions.
I then clicked on the chatbot for help and in the conversation, filled the details in that it asked for, and that seems to have worked ok 1st time. Fingers crossed it goes through. Will update when complete.1 -

Hi, I'm just trying to switch my number but unsure what port in date is at the bottom, is it today's date. ??0

You can choose a date. Ports don't happen at the weekend and there's a 5pm cutoff for the following day. So at the weekend, the earliest you would be able to port is Tuesday.
Personally, I would always choose Tuesday or Wednesday as that gives time for any issues to be resolved as number porting teams don't work weekends.0 -
Thanks for this. Didn't know what it was on about asking for new number and new sim number.
