Me? I drove a relative’s car home after she’d been unable to start it about two miles from home. I’d just got it going on a hill when the police appeared. Turned out I wasn’t insured to drive it.Six points and £200 fine.Since I was otherwise clean, I felt just sucking it up was the best option - no solicitor and pleading guilty. It’s a year ago so it won’t be long till I’m clear again.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

1st was for a slightly bald tire
and second was going through red light just as they turned

Any diesel drivers notice how the front tyres tend to wear out quickly? Something you need to think about in the petrol/diesel decision.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -
Eh? What’s petrol or diesel got to do with the rate of tyre wear? Front tyres will generally wear out more quickly as most cars are front wheel drive…qwert_yuiop said:

Extra weight of the Diesel engine, it does make a difference especially if the driver is prone to ‘dry’ steering when parking.Money_Grabber13579 said:

Extra weight is the short answer, but there’s also a contribution from the higher torque in many diesel cars.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

Wouldn't both those things also tend to apply to electric? I'm not seeing a pattern of people saying EVs wear tyres more...qwert_yuiop said:Extra weight is the short answer, but there’s also a contribution from the higher torque in many diesel cars.0 -
Certainly the torque aspect. Are the batteries and motors as heavy as an internal combustion engine?“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0
