BW LEGAL County Court Claim Issued - please help

Hi,
I have received a county court claim from BW Legal on behalf of NCP Car Parks Limited. Back in 06/2021, I parked my car at Cambridge Station for 2 nights, I was staying at a hotel that is situated next to the rail station. For both nights, the parking was paid via their app/website on the day and I have screenshots/bank statement to prove this. Even though I advised BW legal of this via email and sent the screenshots, they have still issued this claim! They are demanding £835.48, and I won't be paying a penny.

I intend to fully defend this.  I have read this board and my understanding is that I go online, deny the claim and submit my defence - which would be the bank statements confirming payment made? Have I got this right?

Any help will be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance for your time.

What is the date of issue of the claim form please?  If you post this date, then one of our regulars, @KeithP, will give you some advice and dates for completing the AoS and writing your defence.

The form is dated 20/07/2022. I received it over the weekend.

Can I ask, is the station car park nominated by the hotel so their customers can park ?

Have you complained to the hotel showing proof you paid ?

How have BWL explained the £835.48, because they do add fakes

They have added a lot of fakes..i.e. interest, legal fees, 240 recovery costs etc.
I have not complained to the hotel yet. I have proof that the parking was paid for so I don't understand what their issue is really.
If I was to attach the evidence as my defence, would it be sufficient?

Evidence comes much later in the process - the Witness Statement, some weeks, months away.  Please read the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post, and the Defence Template Announcement, both of which will guide you through the entire process.

Courts fee and solicitors costs are capped in a county court and is correct. They can try for interest but most judges will not allow that.

£240 for recovery is the scam part from BWL AND THEY LACK LEGAL AUTHORITY to do this

Assume you were issued with two tickets for the two nights, how much was each ticket

Yes, there were 2 or 3 tickets in total, each totalling £100. So do I just acknowledge the claim for now and tick the box where I wish to defend it?

The court fee will be £70 so what is the legal charge

The easiest way to defeat this PCN is to complain bitterly to the hotel and see if they can get it cancelled. In the meantime continue to to take all the steps in a timely manner to allow you to defeat this in court.

Hi,
Sure, I will wait for other member to reply. I have also read other sticky threads too. I am just wondering if I need to include all of the defence points in the template letter? Because my case is slightly different, in a way that all parking fees were paid on the day and I can prove this. Surely, this alone will be enough to throw the case out? 

There were 3 different tickets in total.
