Advise on loud music from wine bar

Hi,
about a month ago a wine bar opened right below my flat. They play loudish music most of the time, unfortunately this is an old building and the sound travels through the walls and floors as it makes no difference (actually worst) if I have the windows shut. It's the bass of the music that irritates me the most .
I already told them and so did my landlady, they said they would be more careful but nothing really has changed, some days the music is acceptable other days is not. Yesterday they told me when the customers are talking louder they have to raise the music...
sometimes they are not even opened yet and I still hear the music, like today for instance , since 10:45 music on.
Don't think they care that much.. I know I can contact the council but since this is only affecting me (other flats are above and they are not affected as much) and also the music it's throughout the day and usually not after 11 pm (they close at 11 ).. what chances do I have the council will take any action?
I work from home and it's stressing me out .. maybe for some people it's not that bad but having this background music in your home all the time I don't think it's right either

What was it before it was a wine bar? If it was already licensed premises of some sort before you moved in, I think you'd need to accept some sort of disturbance.
Check their licensing conditions - there's generally something there about music.1 -

Unfortunately this is precisely why mnay mortgage lenders won't lend on properties like this. If they have to repossess it's hard for the lender to sell. And I'm afraid if you are an owner (as opposed to a tenant) you'll have trouble selling too.Cafes can turn into wine bars and wine bars can be noisy....1

Unless the council deems it a Statutory Noise Nusiance nothing is likely to change.
You should report to Environmental Health and also ask your landlord to liaise with the freeholder.
Your landlord won't be able to anything except do the complaining.
If the noise is deemed acceptable it will be something you have to learn to live with (or move)
You will be expected to keep diaries of the nuisance for a period of time so if you haven't already, then start now4 -

The easiest solution would be for OP to start working from a table in the wine bar and get them to agree a complimentary bar tab.5

Easiest solution is to walk into the bar when it's busy, and shout at the top of your voice "TURN DOWN THE F'N MUSIC YOU BUNCH OF F'N W'K'RS!"Repeat every hour. Until arrested.5
