Hi hoping someone can help with who I can speak to regarding the above and making a complaint.
Hired a car in Alicante through them. The actual hire was with OK.
Numnuts here forget their driving licence card however I did have the DVLA print out and a photo of my licence but OK would not accept it so I had to ring the number for Doyouspain as they could not alter booking. I tried for nearly an hour to get through to modify booking and even tried on there website to no avail as one of the other members of our party had their licence. In the end had to cancel and get a taxi as we had to be at the villa we rented. I tried to cancel but had a generic email saying I couldn’t because hire had started. I’ve tried to contact them via email and they have not responded they have no car centre. Anyone know who I should make a complaint to regarding them.? Any help would be appreciated.

    Their home page states "no refunds will be given if the booking is not cancelled before the start time", rather than referring to the hire actually having started as such, so you may struggle even if can make contact with them.

    However, they seem to be a comparison site, so worth checking your paperwork to ascertain if you have a contract with them or with the nominated hire company, and then studying the associated terms in detail to determine if they reflect the above statement, and how it's handled if the renter doesn't have all required documentation....
  • Thanks wondering if I will have better joy with credit card company who I booked it with. The issue being I couldn’t get hold of them to change the booking and they seem to ignore my messages. Maybe I need to put bad reviews up then they may make contact.

    Not convinced that your credit card provider would be an option unless you can demonstrate that the supplier was in breach of contract - what does your contract state about making changes to the booking after its scheduled start time?
