I successfully appealed a PCN with the IAS

Hi all

Not sure where to post, so please point me to the most relevant thread…. I had a PCN issued by PCM Ltd who rejected my appeal… I was however successful with the IAS appeal procedure…. As I appear to be in quite an exclusive club :), I’m happy to share my story.

Well done. You and I are in the 4% club of people who have won at IAS Kangaroo Court stage. You must have had a solid defence to beat them.

Thanks… PCM alleged my permit wasn’t clear and “tampered with” despite me having written the dates on myself… as I say, happy to send over my paperwork to anyone needing it. My appeal was 2 sides of paper at most and a few photographs

good news, well done, you are in the 4% of winners with this scam set-up

If I was PCM, I would ask for a months refund from the IPC who operate the IAS because this is not what PCM signed up for and the IPC/IAS has betrayed PCM......WELL, fancy that

Well done. Did the IAS actually find against the PPC, or did the PPC withdraw/decide not to continue?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

PCM ltd alleged this temporary permit was unclear… I explained that I initially wrote the 2 of the 20th in black ink and (because the pen was bleeding) reverting to blue ink for the remainder of the permit… luckily I still had a copy of this permit and took the above picture… the picture they took through the windscreen was a lot less clear. Parked at 17:20 on the 20th May and they booked me within 17 mins whilst still unloading my car (no ticket left on windscreen.

@Umkomaas… the IAS found against PCM and “allowed” my appeal and squashed the ticket.

Tried to logically argue with PCM Ltd but their response was a point blank no in the first instance and generic stock phrases in their prima facie… “ after careful consideration” blah blah. Wasn’t surprised after reading the posts in this forum

PPC's have no logic ...... all they want is your money

In this case, their greed actually cost them money ?
