EasyJet cancelled flights - expenses claim

I submitted an expenses claim to EasyJet for a cancelled flight from Faro to Manchester on the 09/06/22 and have today received their decision. They have agreed to pay some items but not others and to be honest, their decision making is unclear and confusing. They have agreed to pay:
PAID: taxi from Faro airport to the hotel
PAID: hotel and food for 2 additional nights stay
PAID: tram from Edinburgh airport to Edinburgh railway station
NOT PAID: train tickets from Edinburgh to Manchester, my origin departure destination? (£198.00)
NOT PAID: taxi cost from hotel in Portugal to the airport 2 days later? (38 euros)
NOT PAID: taxi from Manchester railway station to home (I can possibly understand this)
They cancelled my flight from Manchester to Faro on the 25.05.22 with less than 3hrs notice on the way out too and have refused to pay the consequential costs incurred to me for:
1. Manchester airport meet and greet parking that I could not use
2. Car hire for a day in Portugal that I could not use and I've been charged for
3. 2 nights hotel accommodation that was pre paid and non refundable for no show
So, here is my questions:
1. should they be paying my consequential loses
2. should they have paid for our train tickets from Edinburgh to Manchester, our original arrival point?
Thanks,
PB

1. Should be a case for your travel insurance
2. What was agreed at the time you accepted going to Edinburgh rather than Manchester (I had a case with BA previously where Edinburgh flight was cancelled so they were happy to put me up in a hotel to fly next day but if I requested to go to Glasgow instead, I was told there was no reimbursement for travel to Edinburgh)1 -
If they cancelled your Faro to Manchester flight when you were already at the airport, and accepted the cost of a taxi to temporary accommodation then they should also pay the return journey to the airport.Paula_Bettridge said:I submitted an expenses claim to EasyJet for a cancelled flight from Faro to Manchester on the 09/06/22 and have today received their decision. When returning you via Edinburgh, their obligation is "re-routing, under comparable transport conditions, to your final destination", so if your final destination is Manchester, rather than Edinburgh, they should pay for train fares to get you there.
As you say, a taxi fare in Manchester is more of a grey area, how would you have got home from Manchester airport if the original flight had gone ahead?
They're not liable for these costs so it'll be your travel insurance you'd need to seek reimbursement from, if it includes the relevant cover.Paula_Bettridge said:They cancelled my flight from Manchester to Faro on the 25.05.22 with less than 3hrs notice on the way out too and have refused to pay the consequential costs incurred to me for:

Have you claimed flight cancellation compensation as well as your expenses?0
