It could well be adaptable, by bending the outer flanges of the RCA plug inwards - as long as the central pin is near enough the correct size.Deleted_User said:
Well it's ordered now. If anyone has any other ideas let me know please. Thanksshiraz99 said:
I don't think it is.Bendy_House said:The existing aerial socket in the TV is an RCA-type socket? Blimey! What's the point of that? They are pretty much the same size as eachother, so no size-saving. RCA is commonly used for audio signals, so a potential ton of confusion there.Weird.
I've looked at a service manual for that series of TVs, and it would appear to be the item referred to by GDP, with a '-' between the 9 and the 0 for good measure. As you say tho', they have disappeared off t'face of t'world.1 -
Thanks for the help. I'll keep looking.Bendy_House said:

All you need is a soldering iron, some solder and a few bits of wire.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

I'd rather have the adapter but yes I get it thanks....EssexExile said:All you need is a soldering iron, some solder and a few bits of wire.0 -
It’s not making up the adapter wire that’s difficult. It’s knowing what plug fits the TV. If it’s just an RCA plug, that’s not a problem, but it may be something else entirely.
I still think you might be better off buying a PVR with a SCART connector. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Yes I have HDMI too so could just get a freeview or a freesat box etc yes? I might have to give up if the one I ordered does not fit AGAIN...:)GDB2222 said:It’s not making up the adapter wire that’s difficult. It’s knowing what plug fits the TV. We have a DTR2100 box. It does Freeview, plus it records programmes on the hard disk. It has two tuners, so you can record at the same time as watching something else. It only cost £30, second hand a few years ago. HDMI output, too.Deleted_User said:

To be honest I have just got this TV going and it really is sensational!. It's 200hz, Dolby etc with no distortion. An absolutely great picture( beats these cheap 4k UHD tv's by miles) Sound is no short of top class. Really enjoying it. CheersGDB2222 said:

No doubt it's a good picture, but, you will have to be more specific about the 4K TV you are comparing it with and what are you inputting?
Not sure what your sentence on sound is saying, but, I doubt the sound is anything to write home about.
Glad you got it up and running and are enjoying it. At the end of the day, that's what it's all about.
