I was looking for internal tbh but at that price I'd have made an exception.
But it's bought now & I've spent an absolute shedload this past 4 week with more to come (am hanging on for the next round of Synology NAS' as based on previous release dates I suspect they should be releasing new models this year?!)
So sadly I'll have to give that a pass. Great deal though.
Yeah I've actually seen them doing that on YouTube. Breaking in to external drives to pull the actual drive. Forget the term for it. Shucking is it? Some weird name anyway.
Not sure which specific drive is in the external drive linked there but here's an interesting one - check the capacity in the link gefnew gave, check the capacity in the URL & then check the capacity in the listing on the site for it Wonder if they know what they're selling.

The 6TB is there on WD at £69.99 as pointed to by HUKD.(if it drops you at the 3TB use the pulldown)
I was just thinking of you this morning when I discovered a 6-week-old 500GB Silicon Motion AZW SSD failed overnight.
Totally dead, with nothing to even attempt to recover. It was the OS disk in my app server PC, had about 30+ apps and my websites on it, literally dozens of hours of work went into setting it up and all the work I'd done on my websites.
All it took was 40 mins round trip to pick up a brand new Samsung SSD, during that time I left Rufus building a USB recovery stick from a Veeam recovery ISO image and then just 15 mins for it to restore 100GB from my NAS.
All I've lost is a couple of hours of work I did setting up a virtual machine on it last night because it failed at exactly 7 am just as it was starting the 7 am daily backup so I need to revert to the previous day, but it is all still fresh in my head so I don't mind re-doing it later.
Less than an hour of my time and it booted up as if nothing has ever happened.
No stress, no panic.
It is never too soon to back up a hard disk!
