If your car is leased through mini then they will almost certainly extend your lease for you to accommodate a longer wait for your new car.

I'm sure they'll be happy to extend it well into 2023 when the new one is ready.

I have a personal lease through Select Car Leasing.  I have now signed up to a PCP with a Mini dealer.  So they aren’t connected although the common denominator is they are both Minis.

I don't even like the red stripe on the grille, I'd be too embarrassed to park a green car with bright red roof on my drive

I suppose someone likes it,  I see a few dark coloured cars about (that I couldn't tell you what they are) with red roofs, mirror caps and grille edgings.

I thought white roofs were more a cooper thing (white roof with green looks ok), maybe it is my age.....

Indeed yes.  Each to their own choices.

White has been a Cooper roof colour, red is a JCW colour.  I think you can only get a red roof on a JCW, though that might have changed.

I'd a 2018 Cooper S Seven and i was able to order it with the Melting Silver roof and the Lapisluxury Blue paintwork.  Worked really well IMHO.
