Claiming back from BA on cancellation of flight

Hi

We had flights booked from:

Manchester > Gatwick

Warwick > Tampa

The day before/after our flight we had train tickets and a hotel. Non of that can be refunded. Will BA cover this as part of the claim for the cancellation?

TIA

You would probably need to claim the hotel/train on travel insurance.

How far in advance did BA cancel? if they cancelled short notice you will get compensation.

No - but hopefully your travel insurance will

Did they actually cancel or have they re-routed you ?

You can insist on alternative flight instead I think.

If less than 14 days before then you should get £260-520 if the rescheduled flight is more than 2 hours different.

However they might have cencelled now, two weeks before so they don't need to pay the compensation...

Your other costs of train etc would still be a travel insurance claim I think.

You might want to check that you bought your tickets from a reputable source, unless Warwick has opened an international airport in the very recent past.... ;)
