Ok thanks. At least I’ll know for sure. I’ll keep you updated.

It doesn't go 'from day of diagnosis'. This, I'm afraid OP, is incorrect advice.  It is based on the level of help you need because of how your condition affects you.

It looks at how these conditions affect you in terms of the PIP activities, and whether you can do these PIP  activities reliably on the majority of days.

           https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/help-with-your-claim/how-decisions-are-made/

If your conditions predated the PIP application by 3 months, the award should be from the date of your application.
You should challenge the decision to date the award from the PIP assessment.

Not wishing to derail the thread but OP, this is not true.  (And even if it were, being diagnosed in January would mean you applied almost 3 months later anyway.)

The 3/9 months test is how long you've had difficulties because of the condition and how long those difficulties are likely to last.

Edit: cross-posted with Alice_Holt who as usual worded it far better!

Thanks- does that mean that because my latest diagnosis was January I won’t get it even though the other three conditions are years old.
No, it doesn't. The poster has given you incorrect advice.
You can confirm this by googling the gov.uk, Citizens Advice, and other authoritative sites.

Did you return your PIP2 form by the required date?

Thanks both of you for this ^.
I was having difficulties for three months before going to the Dr and had put that in the application and also mentioned it in my assessment

I helped my friend claim, 9 years ago.
Took almost a year, don’t know why.
Claim was backdated to the day she started the claim. ie rang and asked for forms.
She got full pip on both counts.
Not sure what the rates were but I think it was over 7k she was owed.
    Plus 3k for carers allowance.
I had to draw £600 a day out of her post office account. Took almost 3 weeks.

That's not correct. You don't need a diagnosis to be eligible for PIP. Lots of people don't have any diagnosis but successfully claim. My daughter was awarded Enhanced for both in 2017, no diagnosis at that time.
For PIP you need to have had the conditions for at least 3 months and expect them to last at least a further 9 months.
Edit to add, seen this incorrect advice and immediately commented without even looking at further comments.

I’ve just checked my texts from DWP. I phoned on 30/3/22 and returned the form on 31/3/22 which was acknowledged by text so definitely well within the deadline. Thanks for your help everyone. I’ll try and get through to them by phone tomorrow as it sounds like I should be eligible . Fingers crossed

If the PIP call handlers can't help, or fail transfer you to a DWP employee who can make a decision, then submit a mandatory reconsideration request in writing of the decision to start your payments from the assessment date (make it clear this is the decision you are challenging, not the award decision).
Details of this process are on your decision letter.
