Legionella is killed quite quickly at 60 C and more slowly at 55 C.  Whilst you are only using hot water infrequently it's probably best to turn off the Nest Legionella function and increase the cylinder temperature to 60 C.  Then reverse these changes if you start to use programmed hot water rather than just a "boost".

Wanted to thank you guys - you fixed the issue!!!! I wanted to wait long enough to know for sure but it was the best legionnaires function that kept firing up the boiler intermittently. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the update.
Always great when someone takes time to post the outcome after folks have provided input. Aside from thanking those who contributed, it provides useful information to anyone else who may be experiencing the same issues and who is searching the forum for possible answers.

Agreed. These forums also work well because of people like you who have great knowledge in this section and take the time to help people out. You seem to contribute to every post I have put in this section. Thanks!
