Please help! Do I have to pay this PCN

Please can someone give me some advice.
In a nutshell, I paid for parking in this carpark using an app and accidently typed my car make instead of my registration. Received the fine and sent info to appeal as it was a human error on an app and they can see that I have paid.
They then sent me a £20 admin fee as a way out, I then went to POPLA who advised that I had lost the case as they have signage saying that we must follow the correct procedure, I went back to them as a friend advised that they have no legal right to charge me this money, which at this point now they have raised to £170, £170 for a typo! They are now advising that if I don’t pay this, they will take it further.
Can someone advise if this is legitimate, I am thinking of taking it to small claims court as it has become out of control, or is ignoring beneficial as I do not want to affect my credit over something so stupid. Any help or advice would be appreciated, Thank you.

It is not a fine.
You do not have to pay it unless a judge tells you to.
What happened when you complained to the landowner?I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

The response on the computer is their response today threatening to take it further. It’s very frustrating but I want to take a stance!0

Good, just like the rest of us. Read the newbies thread, the 5th sticky post - and then read it again a few times

Good. Remember that their whole technique is to bully people into paying, and many times they will use twisted half-truths to do it. Glad you want to stand and fight. Do you mean the PPC intend to take it further, because they will not be the landowner, hence my question?Lynsey67232323 said:The response on the computer is their response today threatening to take it further. The NEWBIES thread. 2 clicks back.
See my signature, tells you how to hop there right now and read it. PLAN A is obviously landowner complaint because CP Plus are only a stupid aggressive 3rd party agent.Yes they will sue you now. We are not telling you to pay. Please read the NEWBIES thread.
Such a shame you didn't come here first as you had 100% win at POPLA. Slam dunk win had you not said who was driving in your appeals.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you to you both Fruitcake and Trainerman, I appreciate the help. Regarding PPC (I dont even know what this stands for!) I feel a bit out of my depth with this but refuse to give in to their threats. I will try and find out who the landowner is somehow! The other person who has replied sounds passive aggressive telling me to read a sticky note over and over, perhaps I am reading this wrong but apologies if I have made an error by posting for help. Thanks again
