When I still had the app the chat button totally disappeared for me too. The only workaround was to log in via the browser and use chat on the web pageCommon sense is not common

I had this problem and BC said that for security reasons the "message us" option doesn't appear for the first 10 days after you link the app to your account, which seems ludicrous but I have a few days left to see if this is true.0

I had the same problem when I got a Barclaycard and downloaded the app. It took several days for me to be given the "full" version of the app.
Didn't understand then and still don't now! Or why for nearly a year I can't use the see your cards option in app. Barclaycard, for such a big credit card provider, do seem to have some oddities!0
