Well, to be honest I didn't know ev rates existed until I got suitably depressed by energy costs to post about that depression 😁 Now I discover there's a ev rate thing?? So I'm after what ever you can share 😊0

This is certainly what has stopped me from switching to them for my electricity plus they have never appeared on MSE's list of Fixed energy tariffs that COULD be worth considering and I suspect that Martin Lewis knows a lot more than some random people posting on the internet.pochase said:I know that you like the fixed tariff from Green Energy UK, but you should make the people also aware that there is a potential big problem with taking this fixed tariff..
Green Energy is not regulated by cap, so after the fix runs out people are on a SVT that is potentially more expensive than the cap. If the current climate continues with suppliers not taking on new customers, they might be stuck paying more in the long run.
Not saying that this will be the case, and everybody needs to make his own decision, but at least people should be aware of this potential issue.0 -
Green Energy not regulated by cap I don't think will be an issue. The mentioned tariff runs until September 2023. I personally don't believe I will have trouble switching supplier if I want as September 2023 approaches as my feeling is that the energy industry won't be in the sorry state it is now at that time.0

It's good to have all the pros and cons but glad you are happy with your deal👍1
