Like a good Moneysaver, I have taken Martin's advice and used them for upgrades rather than complete payment for flights. I once used them to upgrade a return journey between Manchester and Hyderabad (India) to business class.
Oh: and a long time ago I used them to pay for my young son to travel to Berlin and back for a language course.
