The latest news article on airport drop-offs implies that these charges is a money-making exercise.
When I was here a few weeks ago, the signage made it clear that the money raised goes directly to carbon-offsetting all the car journeys made to the airport.
I'm not saying this is right or wrong, and arguably electric car owners should pay less.
But it's useful to know before deciding to use the free drop-off location and then wait in the rain for a bus to the terminal
