Would it be cheaper to add a new plan to an existing EE account or to keep separate EE and iD acc's?

Hypothetical scenario here.

If I had a child who's upgrading with me to the same phone (iPhone 13) from an iPhone 11 - would it be cheaper overall to keep the two separate accounts or to cut off iD mobile and add a new number and plan to an existing EE account?
