Check over my figures please :(
ok.
our fix comes to an end on 30th July. so all figures are as of 1st Aug.
UNTIL 1st OCT:
G/ SC 27.21 PU 7.27
E/ SC 48.52 PU 27.35
FROM 1st OCT: (using QrizB figures).
G/ SC 27.21 PU 14.17
E/ SC 48.52 PU 43.94
THIS IS ALL ASSUMING THE OCTOBER CAP LEAVES THE SC AS IS, AND ALL INCREASES ARE ADDED TO THE COST OF THE PU?
Now for the bit that hurts us as individuals:
i've taken the last 2 years of actual usage and averaged them
G/ 19422
E/ 4260
Until 1st Oct £2853.48
From 1st Oct £ 4900.33
:'(
do these figures look accurate? i am very late to looking in to this but want to know if my figures are right so i can have a look and see if there's anything remotely worth switching to.
thanks so much.

Lux 3.6kw hybrid inverter and 9.6kw Pylontech batteries
Daikin 8kW ASHP installed Jan 25
Octopus Cosy/Fixed Outgoing0 -
SO energy, paying £125.00 per month and £550.00 in credit.0
-
to add, i've just put these numbers in to GEUK and am offered a fix till sept 23 of £4188. tempted.
edit. having said that, i'll have 2 months of the higher price to pay that will probably wipe out the saving. its so complicated.0 -
Hopefully you won't be using much gas at the moment so it shouldn't be too bad.
Might be an idea to look at what you're using and check out some of the energy saving tips on this forum, you're a pretty high use household. That will be the biggest money saverBarnsley, South Yorkshire

our gas bill for June was £16.95 total using 319 kWh. always looking at the threads and ways to save.
if anyone could confirm my understanding of the figures is correct! thanks.0 -
If your current supplier can't offer you a better deal then right now if I were you I would look at ways to drastically cut has usage and also look at cutting 500-1000 kWh off your electricity and this will make a big difference. I would probably sign up to green energy UK and do the above.
Don't forget the £400 coming in from October this year in potentially 6 payments.1 -
thanks. the "UNTIL 1st Oct" numbers above are what our supplier would put us on.
i am thinking the 2 months if i were to switch to GEUK would cost us about £350.00 more but the annual saving would be £712.00 so a net saving of £362.00
£550.00 in credit, plus the £400, plus the £150 CT rebate (we'll miss the WHD this year due to rule change).
good luck everyone.1 -
If these are actual consumptions they are very high. in addition to what you pay look at what you use - turn that heating down 2 degrees, those lights off etc.

Read your meter at least weekly and see if you can identify some savings.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Sounds like you have the numbers squared away 👍
That's half the battle.understanding what he'll is coming in and when and the true cost of energy👍1
