Covid & Work

I've tested positive for Covid for the second time. First time was last October when things were different and you had to isolate.
I'm not sure what the rules are now. I've been told to come in if I feel ok. I don't, so not going in. But what if in a couple of days I do feel ok, do I go in?
I work in a well known supermarket & we have a lot of older customers, surely that's putting them at risk, not to mention my colleagues.
So just wondering what the rules are now. I'm in Scotland if that makes a difference.

Thanks. Not very clear though. I'm just unclear on whether to go back to work in a couple of days if I feel better but still test positive. Go back to work and spread it. And they wonder why the numbers are going up again 🙄1

OP, I've had a quick link that has been kindly supplied and it's clear to me. Call HR and see what they say.
Good luck and take care.0 -
I've been testing positive and off work for ten days now. tested this morning and its negative. so back to work tomorrow I hope. I work in a garage, I'm customer facing and in n out of customers cars too. I'll be doing a few things different to how it was before, like sanitising my hands more and also wearing a mask when dealing with customers. I'm thinking now maybe we shouldn't of done away with the mask wearing, but thats a different story.1

There is no legal requirement to isolate if you test positive for covid
If you are well enough to work then it is down to their policy if you should come in or not.
If you are to ill to come in then normal contractual/statory sick leave applies2 -
Thanks for all the replies. So basically, once I feel better, go back whether positive or not. Colleagues were already unhappy yesterday because we had a positive case in at work.
Again, this is obviously why numbers are going up again.
Thanks again.0 -

"If testing positive, stay at home for 5 days."
When infection rates are increasing, as they are, surely the sensible thing to do is to "stay at home" if you have tested positive.2 -

Good luck, hope you're feeling better.
I have a friend with long covid which is really limiting in what he can do, the actual covid period was quite mild.1 -
Is it different in England?
Thanks in advance.0 -
Talk to your employer and see what they say is the main advice now.
Many will be good enough to give the time off paid.0
