Average KWh used for appliances which can't be turned off?

If it's a modern TV it should use about 0.5 W max. in standby, so 0.012 kWh per day. Bear in mind if it's an OLED that it's best not to start switching them fully off as it can stop burn-in prevention cycles from running.Gazelle1985 said:Good idea about the electricity monitoring plug - sounds like our fridge is actually using quite a lot compared to others.
I just realised that it includes TV on standby too, but I can't think what else there would be.0 -
Thank you. I think it's probably the fridge. It's quite big and very old (we inherited it when we moved into our current house)0

I replaced a dead chest freezer with a large modern American Fridge freezer (F rated with 580L capacity). It currently averages about 0.8KWh per day, but is closer to 1 at the moment with the warmer weather. The only time it shot up is when someone left one of the freezer drawers partly open!Bare in mind though, that its likely to take many years for the savings to pay for the capital outlay on a new appliance.2
